Bryson Tractors Ltd was established in 2002, and opened their first depot in Lanark in 2003. Initially as a Dealer for New Holland and Kuhn Farm Machinery, other franchises quickly followed. The company was formed by Jake and Nancy Bryson along with Tom McGregor who had worked with the previous New Holland Dealer in Lanark. Jake had a well-established contracting business covering Central Scotland, and Nancy was born and brought up on an Ayrshire farm, and had many years of experience in Banking. Being concerned about the New Holland coverage in the area they could see the opportunity a customer focused dealer could bring to the area. Along with other experienced parts staff, workshop technicians and family the company had 7 employees when the Lanark Depot was opened covering the Lanarkshire Area.
Focusing on our customers and the service provided, Bryson Tractors diversified into supplying local authorities with both hire and supply of machinery, covering the whole of Central Scotland, Glasgow, Renfrewshire & Inverclyde . As sales increased in all areas of the business, in 2007 they became Construction Dealers and in 2009 developed further into the GroundCare sector with New Holland to increase the product offering. All the hard work paid off, being awarded New Holland Dealer of the Year in 2011.
In 2019 the decision was taken to refurbish the depot at Lanark and invested into developing and improving the premises for both staff and customers. With works completed, in early 2020 Bryson Tractors held the Spectacular Showcase official opening. The much-improved depot allowed a greatly increased offering in the parts department, a better flow of the building to better serve our customers, and much more space for staff. By 2022 Bryson Tractors were ready to further expand the business and did this by buying over a neighbouring dealer depot in Ayrshire and taking over the West Lothian area. With this came many experienced members of staff from the previous dealers, who fitted in perfectly to the Bryson Tractors family and relished the opportunities the expansion would bring. From a staff of 7 in 2003, Bryson Tractors are now over 20 years in business and have 40 members of staff.
